The Noose: CNN does good
Hope you all had the opportunity to view the CNN special on "The Noose in America". It gave a history of the use of the noose, and its negative connotations. Lancaster, Pennsylvania was also featured in the special -- Penn Manor and Warwick schools. Hate is alive and well in America, and even in rural Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Watching the CNN special on "The Noose in America," was really quite disturbing. In a time where racism is looked upon as so wrong, it is quite hard to imagine that it still exists so much throughout our country. Personally, I just don't understand how one race could hate another race so much; it just seems inhuman. The incidences at Columbia, and in Jena are events that should not take place. Even though people might look or speak differently everyone is still human, and deserves to be treated equally
Hate is truly around us. We may think racism does not exist anymore, but that is not true at all. Jena6 is a perfect example.
We are all human beings and we need to respect our differences.
